Malaysian police investigate homicide scene involving Bangladeshi expatriates in Port Dickson

Diplomatic Correspondent; Dbarta24 — A deadly altercation among co-workers at a residential premises in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, has left three Bangladeshi expatriates dead and another critically injured.

Malaysian police have arrested a 40-year-old Bangladeshi national in connection with the fatal violence.

Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof confirmed that local law enforcement responded to a emergency dispatch around 4:15 PM on Monday regarding a brawl at a residential property in the Taman Linggi neighborhood.

A rapid response team from the Linggi police station arrived at the scene and detained the primary suspect.

Following initial interrogations and site investigations, police expanded their search to a nearby plantation in the Suah Manggis area, where they uncovered two bodies. Further sweeping operations in the surrounding perimeter led to the discovery of a third victim.

According to Police Chief Dzaffir, all three deceased victims bore severe physical injuries across their bodies.

Emergency personnel rescued a fourth Bangladeshi national found alive at the scene with grave injuries; he was rushed to Rembau Hospital for urgent medical stabilization.

Preliminary investigations indicate that all individuals involved were work colleagues sharing the same living quarters. Detectives believe the physical altercations erupted across multiple locations nearby before turning fatal.

“The suspect has no prior criminal record,” Chief Dzaffir stated, noting that the 40-year-old detainee is scheduled for presentation at the Port Dickson Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday for a remand order to facilitate deeper investigation.

Authorities are treating the case as murder as homicide investigators work to establish the precise sequence of events and underlying motive.
