530 Bags of Polythene Seized in Cox’s Bazar, 200,000 Taka Fine Imposed

Coxbazar Correspondent : In an operation in the Tekpara Majirghat area of Cox’s Bazar, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) seized 530 bags of polythene.

The RAB’s mobile court imposed a fine of 200,000 Taka on a company named H.J. Enterprise for hoarding polythene illegally.

The operation took place on Tuesday night, September 24. The information was shared by Abul Kalam Chowdhury, Senior Assistant Director (Law and Media) of RAB-15, on Wednesday.

The owner of H.J. Enterprise, Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, 30, is the son of Nurul Alam, a resident of Tarabaniarchhara area in Ward 7 of Cox’s Bazar municipality.

RAB officials, based on intelligence reports, learned that there were illegal polythene factories and warehouses operating in various locations within the city.

Acting on this information, a team from RAB conducted the raid on H.J. Enterprise’s warehouse, where they discovered the illegally stored polythene.

Following the operation, the mobile court imposed the fine on the company.
