Over 51,000 Palestinians Killed
Desk Report : In Gaza, 17 more Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks within the past 24 hours. Since October 2023, the total death toll has now exceeded 51,000, with tens of thousands more injured.
This information comes from the Gaza Health Ministry and was reported by Al Jazeera.
According to the report, following the resumption of attacks on March 18 after Israel violated the ceasefire, 1,630 Palestinians were killed and 4,302 injured in Gaza. Over 10,000 bodies still remain beneath the rubble of destroyed houses and buildings.
The lack of heavy rescue equipment, damaged roads, and continued attacks have prevented the recovery of these remains.
Meanwhile, Israel has proposed a 45-day temporary ceasefire in Gaza in exchange for the release of 11 Gilmore prisoners. This proposal has been put forward through mediators from Egypt and Qatar.
In response, the Palestinian liberation organization Hamas stated that the proposal is under review and a decision will be made shortly.
Hamas remains firm on its core demands for a ceasefire agreement. Their conditions include a complete halt to hostilities in Gaza and the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area.
Previously, a senior Hamas official, Sami Abu Zuhri, told Reuters that Israel must completely end its hostility, asserting that the current ceasefire proposal does not meet Hamas’s demands.
