Sports Desk | April 16, 2026– Pakistan’s batting sensation, Babar Azam, has reached a historic milestone in T20 cricket. By scoring his 100th half-century in this format, he has solidified his place among the greatest batters of all time.
The Peshawar Zalmi captain achieved this feat during a PSL match against Quetta Gladiators. Babar played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 71 runs off 51 balls, leading his team to a comfortable 8-wicket victory. However, the highlight of the match remained his career’s 100th T20 fifty.
With this achievement, Babar became only the fourth batter in history to score 100 or more T20 half-centuries. He joins an elite club featuring:
-
David Warner (116)
-
Virat Kohli (107)
-
Jos Buttler (100)
Notably, Babar reached this landmark in fewer innings than most of his contemporaries. Earlier, he also became the first player in PSL history to complete 4,000 runs.
