Tech report: The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has canceled the licenses of 14 Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for not renewing their licenses on time.
The companies whose licenses have been revoked are directed to submit their licenses to the commission within the next 10 days.
The canceled ISPs are – Bornil Network Systems Limited, IT Next Technology, Cyber Communication, New Generation Internet Services Limited, Asian City Online (BD) Limited, Apon Enterprise, Sparking World Rain ICT, Segun Bagicha Safenet Online Speed Online, Vestel Cable TV Networks Ltd., Web Solutions, Chandpur Net, Airnet Communication.
According to BTRC, all activities of these ISPs are completely illegal and punishable as per Bangladesh Telecommunication Act-2001.
BTRC has warned everyone not to enter into any contract or any kind of financial transaction with these ISPs.
