Donald Trump’s Crypto Earnings Hit $1.2 Billion in First Year of Second Term

US President Donald Trump during an official address, highlighting updates on his financial disclosures and cryptocurrency earnings.

International Desk-  Donald Trump has netted approximately $1.2 billion from his cryptocurrency ventures during the first year of his second presidential term, newly released financial disclosures reveal.

The massive windfall, driven by ventures co-founded alongside his family, has significantly amplified questions regarding potential conflicts of interest at the highest level of the U.S. government.

Data published by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics on Tuesday shows that a substantial portion of this income stems directly from World Liberty Financial (WLF), a crypto startup launched in September 2024 by Trump and the family of his Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff. In 2025 alone, Trump’s association with WLF generated nearly $550 million.

Additionally, the documents highlight a lucrative licensing agreement for a cryptocurrency named “Dollar Trump.” The digital asset, launched just hours before his presidential inauguration in January 2025, brought Trump $635 million in royalties.

Net Worth Triples Amid Crypto Boom

According to data compiled by Forbes, these digital asset revenues have dramatically altered the billionaire real estate mogul’s financial landscape. Trump’s net worth, which hovered around $2.3 billion between 2024 and early 2026, has more than tripled, now standing at an estimated $6.50 billion.

The timing and scale of these earnings have re-ignited fierce criticism from ethics watchdogs.

Critics argue that Trump’s direct financial stake in the volatile crypto market creates an undeniable conflict of interest, particularly as his administration pursues aggressive deregulation of the digital currency sector—a policy shift that has directly fueled a rapid surge in crypto market valuations.

White House Rejects Ethics Concerns

The White House has firmly dismissed allegations of policy compromise or ethical lapses. In a statement provided to AFP, Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly maintained that the administration’s actions are entirely transparent.

“The President and his family have never been involved in any conflict of interest, nor will they be in the future,” Kelly stated.

She further emphasized the administration’s economic vision, adding that Trump has effectively positioned the United States as the “crypto capital of the world,” and that all policy steps taken by the administration have been executed with the best interests of the American public in mind.

While the administration defends the moves as broader economic triumphs, the unprecedented blending of active, billion-dollar private digital assets with executive governance ensures that Trump’s financial disclosures will remain under intense scrutiny globally.
