Kharul Alam, Dhaka: The formalities of the G-20 summit have started in the capital of India, New Delhi. The conference started on Saturday (September 9) morning at the ‘Bharat Mandapatam’.
The two-day long conference will continue till tomorrow Sunday. Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has joined the conference of G20, the alliance of the world’s top 20 economies, as an invited guest.
On the first day of the conference, US President Joe Biden took a selfie with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Prime Minister’s daughter Saima Wazed Putul was also in that selfie.
Saima Wazed Putul is the Thematic Ambassador for the Climate Vulnerable Forum and Chairperson of the National Advisory Committee on Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
He also participated in the G-20 conference with the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had an informal conversation with the US President during the selfie session. Meanwhile, he invited Biden to visit Bangladesh.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Dhaka for the Indian capital New Delhi on Friday morning to participate in the conference. He then held a bilateral meeting at Modi’s official residence at 5:30 PM Bangladesh time.
After the meeting, Narendra Modi said in a message on social media X (formerly Twitter), “There was a fruitful discussion with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The progress of India-Bangladesh relations in the last 9 years is very satisfactory.
