Desk Report: The Department of Agricultural Marketing has set prices for 29 agricultural commodities, including wholesale and retail levels. In a notification signed by the Director-General of the department on Friday, the matter has been confirmed.
According to the newly determined prices, beef is priced at Tk 664.39 per kilogram, while mutton is set at Tk 1003.56 per kilogram.
Additionally, prices for other commodities have been determined as follows: mug dal at Tk 165.41 per kilogram, masur dal (improved) at Tk 130.50 per kilogram, masur dal (thick) at Tk 105.50 per kilogram, khesari dal at Tk 92.61 per kilogram, pangas (cultivation fish) at Tk 180.87 per kilogram, and catfish (cultivation) at Tk 353.59 per kilogram.
Poultry chicken is priced at Tk 175.30 per kilogram, Sonali chicken at Tk 262.00, and eggs at Tk 10.49 per piece. Moreover, desi onions are priced at Tk 65.40 per kilogram, desi garlic at Tk 120.81 per kilogram, imported ginger at Tk 180.20 per kilogram, dry chili at Tk 327.34 per kilogram, green chili at Tk 60.20 per kilogram, cabbage at Tk 28.30 per kilogram, cauliflower at Tk 29.60 per kilogram, brinjal at Tk 49.75 per kilogram, okra at Tk 48.00 per kilogram, potatoes at Tk 28.55 per kilogram, tomatoes at Tk 40.20 per kilogram, sweet pumpkins at Tk 23.38 per kilogram, Jahidi dates at Tk 185.07 per kilogram, thick coconut at Tk 60.00 each, Sagar banana at Tk 29.78 per kilogram, and gram flour at Tk 121.30 per kilogram.
Until further notice, traders have been requested not to sell goods at prices other than these in the notification, as stated in the notification issued by the Department of Agricultural Marketing.
