Sports Desk: In a surprising turn of events, Paraguay defeated Argentina 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier at the Defensores del Chaco Stadium in Asunción.
Despite Argentina taking an early lead, Paraguay made a strong comeback with two goals, earning them the victory.
Argentina started strong, with Lautaro Martínez scoring a brilliant goal in the 11th minute to put the visitors ahead. However, Paraguay responded quickly, leveling the score in the 19th minute.
Gustavo Gómez’s header hit the crossbar, but the ball was then deflected to Antonio Sanabria, who converted with an outstanding bicycle kick.

In the 69th minute, Rodrigo De Paul missed a clear opportunity to score, and Messi’s long-range shot in the 79th minute deflected off a defender and went wide.
Despite the defeat, Argentina remains at the top of the points table with 22 points, but Colombia, with 19 points, can close the gap with their upcoming match against Uruguay.
