Foreign Desk: Ukraine has recently launched a counterattack against Russia. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Ukraine has lost more than 66,000 soldiers since the start of the attack. At the same time, the country has found more than seven thousand weapons. On Tuesday (September 5), the Russian state media reported this information.
Speaking to military leaders, Shoigu said the enemy had lost more than 66,000 troops and recovered 7,600 weapons since the so-called counterattack began.
He said that Russian crews have shot down 159 Hummer missiles, more than a thousand aerial drones, and 13 cruise missiles in a month.
The Russian Defense Minister also said that to cover up the failure of the counter-attack, the Ukrainian military is carrying out terrorist attacks targeting ordinary citizens.
Meanwhile, Russia is willing to return to the so-called grain agreement to unhindered Ukraine’s grain exports through the Black Sea.
However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has set conditions for this. He said that they will return to the grain agreement only if Western restrictions on the export of Russian products are lifted.
At a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan last Monday (September 4), Putin said, “We are ready to consider the possibility of reviving the grain agreement.”
