Shakib Al Hasan Fined 5 Million Taka for Share Manipulation

Business Report: Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has been fined 5 million taka by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) for his involvement in share manipulation in the stock market.

The fine was announced during the 923rd commission meeting of the BSEC on Tuesday, September 24, as stated in a press release.

According to the announcement, Shakib is not alone in this; Abu Khair Hiru has been fined 2.5 million taka, Ishal Communication Limited 7.5 million, Monarch Mart 100,000, Abul Kalam Matbar 1 million, Lava Electrode Industries 100,000, and Jahed Kamal 100,000 taka.

The BSEC reported that a total fine of 16.3 million taka has been imposed on all involved due to share manipulation related to Paramount Insurance Company.
