The Chinese president is not going to the G20 summit after Putin

Foreign Report: Russian President Vladimir Putin has already announced that he will not attend the G-20 summit to be held in New Delhi.

This time Chinese President Xi Jinping may also skip this conference. In his place, the country’s Prime Minister, Li Qiang, will be represented at the conference.

India is chairing this year’s G-20 summit. Throughout the year, several meetings were held in different parts of the country as part of the preparations for the G-20 summit. The main conference is going to be held in New Delhi on September 8, 9 and 10.

US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are also coming to India to attend the conference.

Chinese President Xi Jinping was also supposed to attend. However, Xi Jinping may skip this year’s G20 summit.

According to Indian media, China released a new map this week. Beijing also claims India’s Arunachal Pradesh and the ‘disputed Aksai Chin’ between the two countries as its own. After that, doubts arose about Xi Jinping’s visit to India. In the end, that doubt came true.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang is expected to represent Beijing at the G20 summit, Reuters reported, citing two Indian officials.

Of these two Indian officials, one is a diplomat serving in China and the other is working in a G20 country.

However, the spokesmen of the Indian and Chinese foreign ministries have not commented on the matter so far.

Earlier last week, President Vladimir Putin said that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov would represent Russia instead of him at this year’s G-20 summit.
