Health Report: The number of deaths due to dengue is increasing in the country. In the last 24 hours, 9 people died of dengue fever across the country.
With this, the number of deaths due to dengue has increased to 435 this year.
Apart from this, two thousand 149 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours.
On Wednesday (August 16), the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Health Department gave this information on dengue.
According to the Health Department, out of 2,149 people diagnosed with dengue from Tuesday (August 15) till Wednesday 8 am, 834 are residents of Dhaka. And one thousand 315 people outside Dhaka.
This year, from January 1 to August 16, a total of 92 thousand 24 people have been affected by dengue across the country. Of these, 45 thousand 230 are residents of Dhaka. At the same time, 46 thousand 794 people were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka.
Earlier in 2022, 281 people had died due to dengue. In the last month of that year, in December, 27 people died of dengue.
During the Corona epidemic in 2020, 105 people died of dengue across the country.
