Sports Desk- Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to bat first in the third and final ODI of the three-match series against Australia.
After losing the toss in the first two matches, Bangladesh’s stand-in captain Najmul Hossain Shanto finally had luck on his side in this dead rubber.
The Tigers have already secured the series 2-0 after clinical performances in the opening two games. Shanto and his men now have a golden opportunity to script history by whitewashing the mighty Aussies. On the other hand, the visiting Australian side is fighting for pride to avoid a clean sweep.
With the series already in the bag, the team management decided to rest regular captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz for this clash. In his absence, Najmul Hossain Shanto is leading the side.
Bangladesh have made two changes to their playing XI: Mahedi Hasan replaces Miraz, while left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam comes into the squad in place of Nahid Rana.
Australia have also tinkered with their lineup, making two changes. Ben Dwarshuis and Ollie Peake have been included in the playing XI, replacing Matthew Short and Nathan Ellis.
