Bangladesh-United States are meeting today on security issues

Diplomatic Correspondent: Bangladesh and the United States are holding a meeting in Dhaka on Tuesday (5 September) regarding overall security including the Indo-Pacific.

The meeting will be held as part of the broader security relationship between the governments of the two countries.

This is the ninth annual bilateral security dialogue between Bangladesh and the United States.

Mira Reznik, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, will lead the US delegation in this official-level meeting. He reached Dhaka on Monday (4 September) to participate in the meeting.

According to the US Embassy in Dhaka, the Security Dialogue is an annual civilian event. All aspects of security relations between the two countries were discussed there.
