Bangladesh Weather: Stable Day Temperatures, Cooler Nights Expected

Muyabia Labony; Dhaka : The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has released the weather forecast for the next 24 hours starting Tuesday morning. According to the report, daytime temperatures across the country will remain mostly unchanged, while night temperatures may drop slightly.

Rain and Thunderstorms

The forecast indicates that rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning, are likely in parts of the Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions. A few areas in Rajshahi, Chattogram, and Dhaka may also see light rain. Some regions might even experience scattered hail.

Synoptic Situation

Meteorologists noted that a low-pressure extension is currently over West Bengal and nearby areas. Meanwhile, the season’s normal low pressure is positioned over the South Bay of Bengal.

In the last 24 hours, the country’s highest temperature was recorded in Bhola at 35.6°C. The highest rainfall was recorded in Satkhira, measuring 32 mm.
