Dasiyarchhara Developed ; After 8 years of exchanging Enclave,

Khairul Alam , Dhaka : Dasiyarchhara of Kurigram is a glorious chapter from Bangladesh. Today is the day to return to the light after 68 years of darkness. Discrimination and underprivileged village maids did not have any independence.

As a result, the development of education, health, electricity and the communication system did not affect the lives of the residents of this region. Now this picture is constantly changing.

On July 31, 2015 was a moment of liberation for the former residents of the enclave. On this day in world history, 111 enclaves are automatically merged with Bangladesh and 51 enclaves with India.

This led to the successful completion of the Mujib-Indira enclave swap agreement due to the initiative of Sheikh Hasina and the Modi government.

So every year on 31st July, Chitmahal Exchange Day is celebrated on Dasiyarchhara. This year also on the occasion of the Candle Lighting Day, a prayer forum and discussions will be held throughout the day.

According to management sources, Dasiyarchara has changed hands since the dissolved enclave exchange. To eradicate 68 years of misery, the Bangladesh government installed 57 kilometers of power lines and provided electricity to more than 2,000 households in eight years. 26 km of roads and five bridges have been paved. Newly constructed infrastructure for three government primary schools.

Four educational institutions including middle school and madrassas are included in the MPO. Three community clinics, mosques, temples and resource centers were built. Safe water and sanitation system in homes is 100% guaranteed inclusive of 3,000 VGDs.

Besides, the farmland has been one hundred percent irrigated. The former residents of the enclave are very happy with this developmental move by the government.

Zakir Hussain, the protesting student leader in the dissolved enclave of Dasyarchara, said our 68-year-old blockade has ended through the implementation of the agreement. Within the years of its accession to the mainland, the present government has carried out massive development activities in Dasyarchara including house-to-house electricity, roads, bridges, canals, schools, colleges, schools and community clinics. We never imagined that government would develop so quickly in Dasiyachara. I thank Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for that.

Previously, I was studying in schools in Bangladesh under a fake identity, said Chhatri Rani, a ninth-grade student at Dasyarchara Girls’ High School. I am now studying in my school. I like it very much.

There was no opportunity to study here before, said Sultana Parveen, a student at the Dasyarchara Digital Centre. Now taking training in the digital center along with studies. As a result we get different job opportunities.

Kabir Hussain, the eldest son of Dasyarshahara Khritari said, “We the people of Dasyarshahara have spent 68 years in captivity. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given us a lot of things including schools, colleges and clinics, for which we are very grateful.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to Dasyarshahara and showered us with a bouquet of flowers, said Altaf Hussain, former chairman of the Indo-Bangladeshi Enclave Exchange Coordinating Committee. He has provided us with many things including electricity, roads, internet system, computer training centre, bridges, viaducts, schools, college, school and community clinic. We are forever grateful to him.
