Health Report: The outbreak of dengue mosquitoes is increasing in the Bangladesh. Death is also increasing wildly. In the last 24 hours, 14 people have died due to dengue fever across the country.
With this, the death toll from dengue has reached 387 this year. In addition, there were 2,432,000 new hospitalizations in the past 24 hours.
According to the Health Department, from 8 am on Friday (August 11) to 8 am on Saturday, 2 thousand 432 people were admitted to different government and private hospitals in the country. Of these, 940 are residents of Dhaka and 1492 are from outside Dhaka.
This year, from January 1 to August 12, 82 thousand 506 people were affected by dengue. Of these, 41 thousand 704 are residents of Dhaka. 40 thousand 802 people were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka.
At the same time, 72,289 people were discharged from the hospital. Of these, 36 thousand 981 people are residents of Dhaka and 35 thousand 308 people are from outside Dhaka.
Earlier in 2022, 281 people died due to dengue. In the last month of that year, in December, 27 people died of dengue.
Dengue infection was not seen much during the corona epidemic in 2020, but in 2021, 28 thousand 429 people were infected with dengue across the country. In the same year, 105 people died of dengue in the whole country.
