At the same time, in the last 24 hours, 2 thousand 168 people have been admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Of the 2,168 people admitted to hospital with dengue from Monday 8 am to Tuesday 8 am, 842 are Dhaka residents.
Of the eight people who died of dengue in the last 24 hours, 3 are residents of Dhaka and 5 are residents outside Dhaka. From January 1 to August 22 this year, 1 lakh four thousand 359 people were infected with dengue across the country.
Of these, 50 thousand 170 are residents of Dhaka. At the same time, 54 thousand 189 people were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka.
In January this year, 6 people died of dengue. Two died in February. There were no dengue deaths in March, but two each in April and May. Dengue took a terrible form in June. Dengue killed 34 people. Dengue claimed 204 lives in July. In the 10 days of August, 113 people died of dengue.
