Dbarta24 Report — The government has withdrawn the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and District Magistrates of Natore, Gaibandha, and Rangpur from their respective positions, attaching them to the Ministry of Public Administration for future placement.
The development was formally announced on Tuesday through official notifications issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.
According to the official circulars, Asma Shaheen (DC of Natore), Mohammad Masudur Rahman Mullah (DC of Gaibandha), and Mohammad Ruhul Amin (DC of Rangpur) have been relieved of their administrative duties in their respective districts.
The notification further stated that all three officials will remain attached to the Ministry of Public Administration until their new appointments are assigned.
Deputy Commissioners serve as the executive heads of field administration at the district level, overseeing general administration, revenue collection, and law enforcement coordination as District Magistrates.
The administrative reassignment of three key northern district administrators highlights standard reshuffling within the civil service structure, pending further orders from the central administration.
The reassignment takes immediate effect, and the Ministry of Public Administration is expected to announce the replacement officials for Natore, Gaibandha, and Rangpur in due course.
