National Report: Experimental rail tracks have been run on the Dhaka-Mawa section of the Padma Bridge Rail Link Project.
The rail track started its journey from Gandaria Railway Station in Dhaka to the Mawa end of Padma Bridge in Munshiganj at around 9.30 am on Saturday. It reaches Mawa’s end at around 11:30 pm.
On the way, the inspection team on the railway track noticed defects at various points and stations on the railway line established in the Dhaka-Mawa section.
The rail track left for Bhangar from Mawa at around 12 noon. The trial period has been completely worthwhile. The train is completely ready for movement.
