Khaleda forced to resign for stealing votes: Sheikh Hasina

Khairul Alam: Referring to the establishment of One-Eleven, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina noted that the state of emergency was imposed in the country on January 11, 2007, in the context of the lack of confidence among political parties over the formation of the National Assembly, the Interim Government, and the Transitional Government.

Formation of the Election Commission, known as “One Eleven” in Bangladesh. A caretaker government backed by the military was in power.

After declaring a state of emergency that afternoon, A caretaker government was formed led by Fakhruddin Ahmed the Governor of the Bank of Bangladesh.

He said that 1/11 happened in the country because of the corruption and misrule of the BNP. Khaleda Zia was forced to resign for vote theft.

This came in the Prime Minister’s inaugural address at the special expanded meeting of the Awami League in Ganabhavan on Sunday (6 August).

The prime minister said that Khaleda Zia had to resign because the people of the country did not accept the rigging of the elections. The public has the vote.

The people of the country can only maintain the status of a developing country by voting for the Awami gang. The Awami League has no owner. The public is the owner of the Awami League. The Awami League is responsible to the people for elections.

In the history of the country, he said, only the Awami League had transferred power peacefully. Commenting that the country and its people are not safe in the hands of the BNP, he said that Zia-ur-Rahman, Khaleda Zia and Tariq Rahman are all murderers.

Commenting on the defeat of the Awami League in the 2001 elections due to conspiracies, Sheikh Hasina said that the Awami League could not come to power in 2001 because of the refusal to sell gas and many domestic and foreign conspiracies.

Questioning the economists at the meeting, the prime minister said that the Awami League has succeeded in reducing poverty by 18 percent through state management since 2009.

Why didn’t the poverty rate drop to 18 percent earlier? I would like to ask economists, what points do they make. Did NGO loans reduce poverty before 2009? It is not done. Every step of the Awami League is process oriented.
