Health Report: In the last 24 hours, the number of newly admitted dengue patients is 2 thousand 134. Since January 1, 99 thousand 994 people have been admitted to the hospital due to dengue.
Meanwhile, 10 people have died in the last one day. According to the government, so far, 476 people have died due to dengue.
This has been learned from the information given by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Health Department on Sunday (August 20).
In 2019, the highest number of 1 lakh 1 thousand 354 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue in the history of Bangladesh.
According to the health department, 738 of those affected by dengue in the last 24 hours are from Dhaka. 1 thousand 245 people outside Dhaka. Presently, 7,582 patients are admitted to various public and private hospitals across the country.
Of these, 3 thousand 532 people are in Dhaka and the remaining 4 thousand 50 people are in other departments outside Dhaka.
Since January 1 this year, 91 thousand 936 people have been discharged after being admitted to the hospital due to dengue.
