The weather office has warned of countrywide rain, thunder, and heavy downpours over the next five days.
According to the 120-hour forecast released on Tuesday at 9:00 AM, a low-pressure trough extends from West Bengal to the North Bay. The detailed division-by-division weather outlook is outlined below:

Rainfall: Temporary gusty or squally winds accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected in many places across Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions. Similar conditions may prevail at a few places in Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Chittagong divisions, and at one or two locations in Khulna and Barisal divisions.

Heavy Rain Alert: Moderately heavy to heavy falls are likely at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions.

Heatwave: A mild heatwave is currently sweeping over Khulna, Satkhira, Jessore, Chuadanga, and Lakshmipur districts, and it is expected to continue.
