Entertainment Desk: Popular Bangladeshi actress Pori Moni is set to star in a new film titled *Golap*, marking her first project of the new year. In the movie, she will play the character of Rupa, opposite actor Nirab Hossain. Pori Moni officially signed the contract for the film on January 31.
Director Samsul Huda shared that he had envisioned Pori Moni for the role of Rupa from the early stages of the script’s development. He expressed his excitement, stating, “We are delighted to have Pori Moni on board for this project.”
The film’s story, dialogue, and screenplay have been written by Anik Biswas. Produced under the banner of Golpo Wala Production, *Golap* promises a mix of dance, romance, action, and unexpected plot twists. Shooting for the film is expected to begin by the end of this month.
Pori Moni revealed that she was drawn to the script and her character, leading her to accept the role. She said, “I haven’t had the opportunity to work in an action-thriller for a long time. *Golap* has everything—dance, romance, and fight sequences. The twists in the story will surely captivate the audience.”
Meanwhile, Pori Moni recently wrapped up shooting for *Dodor Golpo*, a government-funded film directed by Reza Ghatok, where she starred alongside Siamon Sadik.
