Political Report: Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni said, Islam says to be tolerant. But using the name of Islam, militancy is being established and people are being killed.
In the Holy Qur’an, verse 32 of Surah Al-Maida says, ‘Whoever kills someone without the cause of killing people or creating terror in the land, it is as if he killed all people. And the one who saved the life of the person, it is as if he saved all the people.
He said these things at the doa mahfil and Chittagong divisional education gathering on the occasion of the 48th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day at Hathazari on Saturday.
The minister questioned those who want to kill political opponents by bomb-grenade attacks, who killed the father of the nation and his family by failing to resist the birth of a country. Did they work for Islam?
Dipu Moni said, voting should be done keeping in mind verse 85 of Surah Nisha. It says, ‘Whoever intercedes for good, there will be a portion for him, and for whoever intercedes for evil, there will be a portion of it.
And Allah is the preserver of everything.’ We have to act with these in mind. Everyone knows who those who kill, rape, loot and torture religious and ethnic minorities in the name of religion.
