Khairul Alam: President M. Sahabuddin is set to return to Bangladesh on Saturday, September 16, following a 13-day trip to Indonesia and Singapore.
The return journey will be aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines VIP flight, carrying the President, his wife Dr. Rebeka Sultanah, and other accompanying officials.
Previously, on September 8, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh had traveled from Jakarta, Indonesia, to Singapore. During his visit, he participated in the 43rd ASEAN Summit, the 18th East Asia Summit, and several bilateral meetings and engagements.
The Asian Summit in Jakarta took place over three days, and President Sahabuddin attended the event. Indonesia’s President and the Chair of ASEAN for 2023, Joko Widodo, had invited President Sahabuddin to Jakarta for the purpose of the summit.
After concluding his five-day trip in Indonesia, President Sahabuddin arrived in Singapore on the afternoon of September 8. In Singapore, he underwent health check-ups as part of the standard protocol.
Tomorrow, President Sahabuddin is scheduled to depart from Changi International Airport in Singapore. The presidential delegation is expected to arrive in Dhaka at 6 PM on the same day.
