Millions of Rohingya refugees have sought refuge in Bangladesh due to conflict in the Southeast Asian country.

He also told the East Asia Summit in Jakarta that delays in repatriating refugees and lack of humanitarian aid could put the entire region at risk.

At the beginning of this month, the President Sahabuddin went to Jakarta, Indonesia to attend the 43rd summit of ASEAN, an alliance of Southeast Asian countries. He joined the conference at the special invitation of the president of ASEAN, Joko Widodo.

In addition to ASEAN member countries and its partner countries, heads of state and governments of several countries participated in this three-day conference.

Besides, the President attended the 18th East Asia Summit at the Jakarta Convention Center on Thursday. In addition to joining the ASEAN and East Asia Summit, he will also meet with the heads of state and government of various countries, including the President of Indonesia.
