National Report: Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen urged Singapore to play an active role in expediting the return of Rohingya, both bilaterally and within the framework of the ASEAN Southeast Asian Alliance.
These issues were discussed between Bangladesh and Singapore at the Ministry of External Affairs on Wednesday (August 16).
Bangladesh and Singapore have agreed to strengthen bilateral coordination. Along with this, both the countries have talked about speeding up the current pace of economic cooperation.
It was agreed to make better use of the interdependence or complementarities that currently exist. The Bangladesh delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen in the meeting.
The third Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) was organized after eight years. The extent of cooperation and bilateral relations in various fields including trade, investment, energy, power, connectivity, maritime economy, halal trade, tourism, culture, capacity building, education, health, security, agriculture, ICT were also reviewed.
