Entertainment Desk – Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and the South Indian “Lady Superstar” Nayanthara have officially started filming their first-ever collaboration.
Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally, the project is currently titled ‘SVC 63’.

Action-Packed Start in Mumbai

The first schedule of the film kicked off on April 18 in Goregaon, Mumbai, with a massive action sequence. While the initial shoot is underway, the primary production phase is set to begin in August.

The filmmakers plan to shoot extensively across Mumbai over three months, aiming for a grand release during Eid-ul-Fitr 2027.

A Star-Studded Cast

According to Variety India, Salman Khan will appear in a completely fresh avatar, while Nayanthara’s role is designed to be powerful and central to the plot.

The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Anil Kapoor and South Indian actor Arvind Swami.

Behind the Scenes

This high-budget action drama is produced by the renowned Dil Raju. Director Vamshi Paidipally, famous for hits like Maharshi and Varisu, is making his highly anticipated Bollywood debut with this project.

Update on ‘Matrubhoomi’

In other news, Salman Khan’s other project, Matrubhoomi (formerly titled Battle of Galwan), has been delayed indefinitely.

Reports suggest that at the request of the Ministry of Defence, the script was redesigned and 40% of the film had to be reshot to move away from being a purely real-life inspired story.

Fun Fact: Nayanthara previously impressed Bollywood audiences with her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the blockbuster Jawan. This new project marks her second major outing with a Bollywood “Khan.”
