Gopalganj Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Samadhi of Bangabandhu at Tungipara in Gopalganj on the occasion of the 48th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day. Her younger sister Sheikh Rehana was with him at that time.
On Tuesday (August 15) at around 11:55 pm, the Prime Minister paid tribute by paying floral tributes at Bangabandhu’s mausoleum.
During this, a smart team of all three armies gave the guard of honor to the Prime Minister. The bugle played a mournful note.
Later, on August 15, 1975, the Prime Minister participated in the holy Fateha recitation, special prayers, and prayers, asking for forgiveness for the peace of the souls of all the deceased members of the family, including Bangabandhu.
After prayer and recitation, the head of government paid homage at Bangabandhu’s grave accompanied by leaders and activists of the Central Awami League as party leader and cabinet members.
Later, the leaders and workers of all the subsidiary organizations will pay homage one by one at Bangabandhu’s mausoleum.
Earlier this morning at 10:50 am, the Prime Minister left for Tungipara by helicopter from Gana Bhavan, the government residence.
The Prime Minister landed at around 11:30 am at the helipad located next to the Bangabandhu Samadhi complex at Tungipara. Later he left for the tomb in his car.
The Prime Minister reached the Samadhi Complex at 11:40 pm. Local leaders and workers stationed there welcomed the Prime Minister with slogans.
