Special Correspondent , Dhaka-  The Bangladesh Shooting Sport Federation (BSSF) has conditionally withdrawn the suspension of top shooter Kamrun Nahar Koli.

The decision was finalized during an emergency executive committee meeting on Wednesday, following significant pressure and a formal recommendation from the State Minister for Youth and Sports, Aminul Haque.

Koli was originally suspended for one year in February on charges of disciplinary violations. While the federation initially ignored requests for leniency, the move to reinstate her follows a series of reports highlighting the standoff between the ministry and federation officials.

The Conditions for Reinstatement:

  • Media Gag Order: Koli is strictly prohibited from speaking to the media or posting on social platforms (Facebook, etc.) regarding federation decisions, coaches, or fellow players without prior permission.

  • Observation Period: She will be under intense observation for the next three months. Any minor disciplinary breach during this period will lead to a permanent ban.

  • Written Pledge: She must provide a written commitment to follow all camp rules and the coach’s code of conduct before returning to the shooting range.

  • No-Notice Termination: The federation warned that if any conditions are violated after the observation period, she will be permanently expelled without any further show-cause notice.

The BSSF has officially communicated these terms to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council (NSC).
