Diplomatic Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has invited Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to visit Bangladesh.
Salman has expressed interest in visiting Bangladesh by accepting the invitation.
Sheikh Hasina held a bilateral meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Salman in New Delhi on Sunday (September 10). At this time Bangabandhu invited daughter Yuvraj to visit Bangladesh.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the bilateral meeting between the Saudi Crown Prince and the Prime Minister on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in New Delhi this morning was very fruitful.
Prince Salman praised the Prime Minister’s leadership in the remarkable socio-economic development of Bangladesh in recent years.
Prince Salman said that Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia will work together to increase cooperation in all possible fields.
He assured the Prime Minister of Bangladesh of his full support in this regard. Prince Salman expressed satisfaction with the ongoing investment by Saudi investors in various projects in Bangladesh including Patenga Terminal, Payra Port and ACUWA Renewable Energy Project.
He said that about 2.8 million Bangladeshis are contributing significantly to the economy of Saudi Arabia with their hard work.
Salman thanked the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for supporting Saudi as the host of ‘Riyadh Expo-2023’.
Sheikh Hasina congratulated Crown Prince Salman for initiating several social reforms in Saudi Arabia and achieving numerous diplomatic successes in recent times.
