Wildfire Maui: Prime Minister’s condolence letter to Biden

National Report: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent a letter to US President Joe Biden expressing deep sorrow over the massive fire and loss of life and property on Maui Island in the US state of Hawaii.

In the letter, he said, ‘I am deeply saddened by the news of the devastation and loss of life and property in the terrible fire in Maui at Hawaii.’

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, “On behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh, I express my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and all those affected by this natural disaster.”
In this condolence, Sheikh Hasina also said, Bangladesh stands with the US government and people during this challenging time. She expresses solidarity with all frontlines engaged in rescue operations.

Earlier, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen wrote to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken expressing grief over the huge loss of life and destruction caused by the wildfires in Maui Island.
