Market Report: Eggs are the most talked about product on the market at the moment. Farm chicken eggs are now selling for 60 taka.
That is, the cost of one piece of egg is Tk15. Last week, it was also sold from Tk 11 to Tk 12. That is, at present, it is Tk 48 to Tk 50.
Apart from this, eggs of domestic hens are being sold at a price ranging from Tk 200 to Tk 210 per dozen. Duck eggs are being sold for 240 taka. Golden hen’s eggs are being sold for 60 taka.
And a dozen are being sold for 180 taka. Hundreds of domestic chicken eggs are being sold for 1500 taka.
Along with eggs, the prices of rice, onion and garlic have also increased. The price of rice increased by Tk 2 per kg during a week. The price of onion has increased from 10 taka to 15 taka per kg. The price of garlic has increased from Tk 20 to Tk 40.
Traders have increased the prices of these products on the pretext of reducing imports and supplies. As a result, people with a low income have to face a lot of trouble buying daily necessities.
