Health Report: The outbreak of dengue mosquitoes is increasing in the country. Aedes mosquito-borne virus infections as well as deaths are on the rise.
In the last 24 hours, 12 people have died due to dengue fever across the country.
Of these, 7 are residents of Dhaka and 5 are residents outside Dhaka. With this, the death toll from dengue has reached 364 this year.
Apart from this, 2 thousand 959 new people were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours.
Which is the highest number of infected in a single day this year. Earlier on Wednesday, 2 thousand 844 people were infected in one day. This was the highest till yesterday in terms of daily infections.
Last Sunday, a record 2,764 people were infected in a single day. According to this, this year the record of daily infection was broken thrice within five days.
According to the Health Department, in 24 hours from 8 am on Wednesday (July 9) to 8 am on Thursday, 2 thousand 959 people were admitted to various government and private hospitals in the country due to dengue infection.
Of these, 1 thousand 97 are residents of Dhaka and 1 thousand 862 are people from outside Dhaka.
This year, from January 1 to August 9, a total of 78 thousand 28 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue.
Of these, 39 thousand 911 people were admitted to different hospitals in the capital, and 38 thousand 117 people were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka.
