Ifaz Rehan Kabbya: The outbreak of dengue mosquitoes is increasing in the country. Aedes mosquito-borne virus infections as well as deaths are on the rise.

In the last 24 hours, 12 people have died due to dengue fever across the country. With this, the death toll from dengue has reached 352 this year.

Apart from this, 2 thousand 868 new people were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours. Which is the highest number of infected in a single day this year.

Earlier last Sunday, two thousand 764 people were infected and admitted to the hospital in one day.

According to the Health Department, in 24 hours from Tuesday (July 8) morning to Wednesday morning, 2 thousand 868 people were admitted to various government and private hospitals in the country due to dengue infection.

Of these, 1 thousand 92 are residents of Dhaka and 1 thousand 752 are people from outside Dhaka.

This year, from January 1 to August 9, a total of 75 thousand 69 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue.

Out of these 38 thousand 814 people were admitted to different hospitals in the capital, and 36 thousand 255 people were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka.
