Desk Report: Delhi has topped the list of cities with the worst air quality, while Dhaka ranks seventh in pollution levels.
According to the Air Quality Index (AQI) reported on Monday (November 4) at 8:19 AM, Delhi’s air quality score stands at 471, categorizing it as ‘hazardous’ or ‘dangerous’.
Following Delhi, Lahore, Pakistan, holds the second position with an air quality score of 406, also classified as ‘hazardous’.
Kolkata, another Indian city, comes in third with a score of 191, indicating that its air quality is ‘unhealthy’.
Hanoi, Vietnam, ranks fourth, followed by Dubai and Cairo. Dhaka, with a score of 174, is considered ‘unhealthy’.
Air quality scores are categorized as follows:
– 0 to 50: Good
– 51 to 100: Moderate
– 101 to 150: Unhealthy for sensitive groups
– 151 to 200: Unhealthy
– 201 to 300: Very Unhealthy
– Above 300: Hazardous
With alarming pollution levels, residents in these cities are urged to take precautions to safeguard their health.
