Bangladesh decide how the elections will be held : Indian Spokesman
Khairul Alam : Various countries of the world have started a lot of activities regarding the upcoming elections of Bangladesh. Activity has increased dramatically, especially in the United States.
The decision on the election issue of Bangladesh seems to be taking place in the regular weekly press briefing of the US State Department.
Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi talks about the ongoing political violence in Bangladesh. He also said the upcoming elections at the weekly press briefing in New Delhi on Thursday.
Responding to a question from a journalist he said, India hopes that the next national elections in Bangladesh will be held in a planned and peaceful manner. However, he declined to comment on holding elections under the caretaker government.
Arindam Bagchi said India views comments from other countries on the upcoming elections in Bangladesh,. He said people of Bangladesh decide how the elections will be held there. Arindam also said, “I have no comment on the caretaker government and other issues.
This is the first time that Arindam Bagchi officially spoke on the issue of upcoming elections in Bangladesh at the weekly press briefing of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
