At the same time, more than five hundred people died due to dengue. But this time, 75 percent of dengue patients are infected with serotype-2 or dengue-2 of the virus.
The National Institute of Laboratory and Medicine Referral Center gave this information on Wednesday (August 23).
According to the press release, the institute is testing 100 to 150 samples daily. DEN-2 was detected in 151 of the 200 samples tested.
As a percentage, it is 75.5 per cent. In addition, DEN-3 was detected in 18 percent of the samples and DEN-2 and 3 in 6 percent of the samples.
