Khairul Alam; Dhaka: The ICC has released a new FTP (Future Tours Program) for women’s cricket covering the period from May 2025 to April 2029.
During this four-year cycle, the Bangladesh women’s team will compete in ODI series against major teams like Australia and England as part of the Women’s Championship.
With an additional team joining the fourth Women’s Championship, participating teams will continue to play four home and four away ODI series.
Notably, this will mark the first time the Bangladesh women’s team will play bilateral series against Australia and England.
The results of the ongoing third Women’s Championship will determine qualifications for the 2025 ODI World Cup, while the fourth Women’s Championship will serve as the qualifier for the 2029 ODI World Cup.
Zimbabwe’s women’s team has also gained entry as a new participant in this tournament.
Bangladesh is set to host home series against Sri Lanka (April 2026), West Indies (March 2027), Zimbabwe (November 2027), and South Africa (April 2028).
Meanwhile, the team will play away series against India (December 2025), Australia (October 2026), England (September 2027), and Pakistan (October 2028). Each ODI series will be accompanied by a three-match T20 series.
