Special Correspondent: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has provided her fingerprints at the US Embassy in Dhaka as part of the visa process.
After completing the procedure, she returned to her residence in Gulshan.
On Wednesday, November 27, Khaleda Zia left her Gulshan home around 2 PM and went to the US Embassy, where she submitted her fingerprints.
During this time, she had a courtesy meeting with the Acting US Ambassador, Megan Bolden. Shortly after, around 3:15 PM, she returned to her home.
According to BNP sources, Khaleda Zia may leave the country for medical treatment in early December.
She is expected to first visit London to meet her elder son, BNP Acting Chairman Tarek Rahman, before traveling to the United States.
The last time Khaleda Zia went abroad was on July 16, 2017, when she traveled to the UK for medical treatment with Dr. Hadley Barry. She returned to Bangladesh on October 18, 2017.
