Dbarta Report: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Khandaker Ghulam Farooq received a courtesy call from United States Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas.
This courtesy meeting took place at DMP headquarters on Wednesday (30 August) morning.
DC Faruq Hossain, Media and Public Relations Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed this information.
Various issues including recent terrorist operations and arrests and law and order in the capital were discussed during the meeting.
Officials expressed hope that friendship and mutual cooperation between the two countries will increase in the future.
Senior officials of DMP and concerned officials of the US Embassy in Dhaka were present at that time.
