New Directives Issued for Indian Visa Appointments

Staff Reporter – The Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC) has issued new guidelines regarding the appointment process for Indian visa applications.

IVAC announced that appointment slots for the next working day will be released on the preceding working day.

According to a directive issued by IVAC on Monday, applicants can sign up and upload their web files between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM.

For applicants who successfully upload their web files within this timeframe, the appointment booking will commence at 5:00 PM.

The directive specifies that the uploaded web file must be the original PDF of the visa application form and must not be older than 30 days. Any altered, edited, or distorted files will not be accepted.

Regarding medical visas, IVAC stated that medical visa applicants must visit the specific hospital for which the visa has been issued.

In case of changing hospitals, prior permission must be obtained from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).

Changing hospitals without FRRO approval will be considered a violation of visa regulations and may result in a ban on future travel to India.
