Putin Visits Kazakhstan for Two-Day Trip

Foreign Desk: Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Kazakhstan for a two-day visit. He landed in the country on Wednesday, according to Russian state media.

The trip is believed to be aimed at strengthening ties with the Central Asian nation.

During his visit, Putin is expected to hold talks with Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

He will also participate in a meeting of the Moscow-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in the capital, Astana.

Before this, Putin visited Vietnam in June, where he traveled with a large delegation of top ministers and business figures.

On the eve of his Vietnam trip, Putin had arrived in Pyongyang, North Korea, where he was welcomed by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

This marked Putin’s first visit to North Korea in 24 years, a trip that came amid strengthened ties between Moscow and Pyongyang in light of mutual opposition to Western sanctions.

Additionally, in September, President Putin visited Mongolia, where a grand event was organized to welcome him, with Mongolia’s top leaders in attendance.
