Putin-Kim letter reads, ‘Crush the imperialists’

Foreign Desk: After the attack in Ukraine last year, Western countries had imposed many types of sanctions on Russia. And Moscow has focused on improving relations with North Korea, one of the world’s “isolation states” after being ousted by the West.

Under this, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Soigu visited North Korea a few days ago. This time North President Kim Jong Un has written a letter to Russian President Putin.

North Korea gained independence from Japanese colonial rule in 1945. Kim sent a letter to Putin on Tuesday (August 15) on the occasion of completion of 78 years of independence. In it, he wrote, ‘The friendship between the two countries was strengthened by the victory over Japan during World War II.

And this friendship is now making full display of its invincibility and strength in the struggle to crush the imperialists.’ In the letter, Kim also wrote, “I firmly believe that this friendship and solidarity will develop into a long-lasting strategic relationship to face new challenges.” Both countries will always win and help each other achieve their goals.

Meanwhile, the US is worried about a rapprochement between Russia and North Korea. Unconfirmed sources say that North Korea is providing arms support to Russia in the Ukraine war. Now there can be a formal agreement between them in this regard.
America has said that if there is such an agreement between these two countries, then it will be a violation of many resolutions of the United Nations.
