Thalapathy Vijay’s TVK Eyes Alliance to Reach Majority in Tamil Nadu

Desk Report ; Chennai: Actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has emerged as the single largest party in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections with 107 seats.

However, falling 11 seats short of the “magic figure” of 118, Vijay is now looking toward potential alliances to form the government.

According to India Today TV, TVK is planning to initiate talks with the Congress, VCK, CPI, CPI(M), and IUML.

Currently, these parties are part of the DMK-led alliance. If Congress (which won 5 seats) and other smaller parties shift their support to Vijay, TVK will comfortably cross the majority mark.

Meanwhile, the incumbent DMK, led by M.K. Stalin, faced a heavy defeat, securing only 59 seats.

Thalapathy Vijay has already been elected as the leader of the TVK parliamentary party, marking a historic shift in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape.
