Crime Report: The government of Bangladesh has banned the new terrorist organization ‘Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya’ as it is against the peace and order of the country and is a threat to public safety.
On Wednesday, the Political-2 wing of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification announcing the ban on the organization.
It is said that it appears to the government that the declared activities of a militant group/organization named Jamatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya are against the peace system of the country.
Already, the activity of the party/organization has been declared banned in Bangladesh as its activities are deemed to be a threat to public safety.
Meanwhile, regarding the ban on ‘Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya’, an RAB spokesperson said on Thursday afternoon, “On August 23, 2022, 8 youths went missing from Comilla Sadar area.”
In that incident, the family of the missing people made a general diary at the Kotoali police station in Comilla.
“While conducting an operation to rescue the missing youth, RAB received information about the activity of a new terrorist organization named ‘Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya’.
RAB came to know that the members of this organization were undergoing armed training with the help of ‘KNF’, a separatist organization of Chittagong Hill Tracts.
He said, ‘Later operations were carried out in different parts of the country and in the hilly areas of the Chittagong Hill Tract from October 2022 till the present time. 82 people, including Amir Anisur Rehman alias Mehmood of this extremist organization, have already been arrested.
Besides this, 17 leaders and members of ‘KNF’ have been arrested for supporting terrorists in hill stations, training, and other activities.
