The health minister said that 70 percent of the total patients treated in hospitals have been treated in government hospitals. And 30 percent in the private sector.
As per the decision, dengue treatment is being provided free of cost in government hospitals.
The health minister also said that two types of dengue patients were treated in the hospital. Many require platelets and ICU.
Many people get cured only with medicine. On average, 50 thousand rupees are being spent per patient. In such a situation, the government has spent about Tk 400 crore on the treatment of dengue this season.
The health minister also said that in the current season 1 lakh 12 thousand 184 people. Of these, 1 lakh 3 thousand 411 people returned home after treatment. And 537 people died. 8 thousand 236 people are still hospitalized.
