Desk Report: Transportation resumed after the road connectivity between Khagrachari and Sajek remained closed for two days. This was stopped due to the submergence of the culvert in Dighinala and the road in Baghaihat.
On Thursday (10 August), several vehicles left Khagrachari for Sajek. A tourist car departs from Sajek.
A culvert on the main road of Dighinala Upazila of Khagrachari was submerged due to a hill slope coming down from above due to heavy rains.
As a result, communication from Khagrachari to Dighinala was stopped. Since Sajeke has to go via Dighinala, Sajeke Road is also closed.
In such a situation, the tourists who stayed in the decor were stuck in the decorations for two days, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Communication resumed in Sajek this morning after being closed for two days. Around 20-25 vehicles left for Sajek in the morning.
